By the time you read these words, my second and final year as president of SABS will be nearing completion. I must admit that this year seemed to go by more quickly than the first, although both have been a blur of activities. So, as per usual, I will give a brief accounting of what has happened over the past 12 months, beginning with our April gathering, which was held in Birmingham, Alabama.
