This little paperback gives an excellent summary of our current knowledge of the origin of life. Using Oparin’s theory as a starting point, Kosian shows how more recent researches (he includes and describes the more pertinent ones) have essentially upheld Oparin, while modifying the details of his theory. Three quite exciting chapters of unsettled questions and speculations end the book. It is well illustrated throughout.
