The 16th annual Richard and Winnie Windler Award has been presented to Kerry D. Heafner and Rebecca D. Bray for their paper titled “Taxonomic Reassessment of North American Granite Outcrop Isoetes Species with Emphasis on Vegetative Morphology and I. Piedmontana (Pfeiffer) Reed sensu lato,” which appeared in Castanea 70:204-221. This award is given annually for the best plant systematics paper published in Castanea the preceeding year.
