Book Review: A Flora of the Vascular Plants of Cattaraugus County

There are few books dealing with floras on a county basis. Eaton and Schrot have prepared an excellent contribution to the study of plant distribution in Cattaraugus County in western New York State. Cattaraugus County borders the margins of three major floristic regions, the Beech Maple Forest, the Mixed Mesophytic Forest and the Hemlock-White Pine Northern Hardwoods Forest. The county’s geographic position and geological diversity account for the county’s floristic wealth.
