Reviews of Overlooked Books: Appalachian Wildflowers

Claiming to cover the herbaceous and showy woody plants of the Appalachians from the Gasp6 Peninsula of Quebec to the Cumberland Plateau of Alabama, this attractive book joins an increasing number of popular publications that pay attention to ecology. The introductory chapters deal with the various habitats and ecosystems, telling a little of their main features and showing good pictures of striking scenery. One of the best published pictures of heath balds I have seen is on page 29.
