Book Review: Observationes Mycologicae

While the value of this volume is principally historical, many mycologists will welcome the reprinting of this little book which records the early observations of the author, whose later publications were so important to the classification of the fungi. Written in Latin, the text contains brief descriptions of 176 species representing most of the major groups of fungi. The six plates of illustrations (total of 53 figures) which appeared in color in the original are reproduced in black and white.
