This is a new botany laboratory manual, slanted toward demonstration-experiment type teaching. It has more modern concepts, methods, and techniques, than any botany manual this reviewer has seen to date. These are its primary concern, and there is a question as to whether it has sufficient of the “classical” botany for users to emerge with a full understanding of plants. However, it covers the concepts of living material, reproduction and genetics, growth and morphogenesis, and evolution in a quite thorough experimental manner.
