This Japanese flora is now available to non-readers of Japanese. The enlarged and revised English translation of Dr. Ohwi’s FLORA OF JAPAN (in Japanese) was released in September by the Smithsonian. The well prepared, unstilted text is a credit to both Dr. Ohwi and to the two American editors, Frederick G. Meyer and Egbert H. Walker.
