Book Review: Wildflowers of the Southeastern United States

One of the loveliest books to come to this reviewer’s attention in many months is this treatise on the wildflowers of the southeast. And it is most rewarding to discover that along with its loveliness, its text is reliable and dependable, characteristics that do not always go with beauty in a book. The combination of the botanical knowledge of Wilbur Duncan, for many years a member of the botany faculty of the University of Georgia, and the superb color photography of Leonard Foote and others have made this a noteworthy publication, not only for Georgia but for much of the southeastern United States.
