Herbarium and field studies on the vascular flora of west central Louisiana have resulted in adding the following species to the known flora of the state. All are part of a Texas or western element that reaches its easternmost limit in Louisiana. Voucher specimens are stored in the Northwestern State University Herbarium (NATC), with duplicates placed in the Institute for Botanical Exploration Herbarium, Mississippi State, Mississippi.
