This volume will be a welcome addition to the libraries of many biologists and naturalists, for it explains in some detail the collecting, culturing, preserving, and displaying of many types of plants and animals. Even though this field seemed adequately covered by some of the older texts, many new methods and materials are covered here. The book is well made, and quite well illustrated.
