Hygrohypnum closteri new to North Carolina

On August 19, 1965, I collected Hygrohypnum closteri (Aust.) Grout in Polk County, North Carolina, from the rocky bottom of a shallow, swiftly flowing part of Pulliam Creek, on the south slope of the Green River Gorge, at about 2,000 feet elevation (Zander 3049 DUKE).
