This article treats of some of the plants (excluding practically all the grasses, sedges and rushes) of extreme Northeast Tennessee. The area covered is a triangle, with the Virginia line forming one of the sides and the North Carolina line another side, and embracing the counties of Carter, Johnson, Sullivan, Unicoi and Washington. So far as, I know, this is the first article devoted exclusively to plants of this particular area.
